What is being convened

A landmark international platform designed to deepen trade, investment, innovation and cultural cooperation between Kenya and China within the tea value chain.

Kenya grows the tea. China drinks more of it than anywhere on earth. Between those two facts sits a chain of buyers, processors, financiers, freight operators and regulators who rarely occupy the same building. For three days in April 2027, they will.

Six objectives

The terms this summit is convened under.

  1. Strengthen trade relations

Build durable commercial links between Kenyan tea producers and Chinese buyers.

  2. Promote investment

Open Kenya's tea value chain to Chinese capital across processing, packaging and logistics.

  3. Support innovation

Bring agricultural technology, processing equipment and traceability tools to the people who will use them.

  4. Facilitate market access

Shorten the route from a Kenyan estate to a Chinese shelf.

  5. Foster collaboration

Put producers, policymakers, financiers and researchers in the same rooms for three days.

  6. Promote tea culture

Set Kenya's tea heritage alongside China's, as trade and as culture.

Three days

Session times, rooms and speakers are added to this manifest as they are confirmed.

Day Proceedings
1 ·

Opening Ceremony & Trade Forum

The summit opens, and the trade conversation starts the same day: who is buying, who is selling, and what stands between them.

2 ·

Investment Forum, Innovation Conference & B2B Meetings

Capital and technology in the morning, structured buyer-supplier meetings through the afternoon.

3 ·

Tea Expo, Cultural Exchange & Closing Ceremony

The exhibition floor opens fully, alongside a cultural programme, before the summit closes.

Full programme

The expo floor

The International Tea & Technology Expo runs alongside the summit: tea products, processing equipment, agricultural technologies and logistics services, shown to the people who buy them.

Stand allocation opens with registration. Structured B2B matchmaking runs through day two, so an exhibitor's meetings are booked before they land.
