Code of conduct
Applies to everyone at the summit — delegates, speakers, exhibitors, partners, media and staff.
This summit brings together people from different countries, industries, languages and levels of seniority. The point is that they can do business with each other. That requires a floor of behaviour everyone can rely on.
What is expected
- Treat everyone professionally, whatever their nationality, seniority, gender, age, religion, disability or first language.
- Assume a language barrier is a barrier, not a shortcoming. Speak plainly and give people time.
- Respect a "no" the first time, whether it is about a meeting, a photograph or a conversation.
- Follow the venue's safety instructions and staff directions.
What is not tolerated
- Harassment of any kind, including unwanted physical contact, persistent unwanted attention, or comments targeting who someone is rather than what they said.
- Intimidating, threatening or abusive behaviour.
- Photographing or recording someone who has asked you not to.
- Deliberately disrupting sessions or the exhibition.
- Misrepresenting your organisation, your authority to transact, or your relationship to the summit.
Reporting a concern
During the summit, tell any member of summit staff — they are briefed to act, not to mediate. Before or after, use the contact form and mark it as a conduct concern. Reports are treated confidentially, and being the person who raises one will never be held against you.
Consequences
The secretariat may issue a warning, remove someone from a session, withdraw exhibition or accreditation privileges, or remove someone from the venue without refund. Serious matters are referred to the appropriate authorities.
Named contacts
A named conduct contact and an on-site reporting channel will be published here before the summit opens. Until then, concerns raised through the contact form reach the secretariat directly.
