Nairobi is served by Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, shown as NBO in booking systems, about 20km from KICC.
Entry requirements
Kenya requires most visitors to hold an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before departure. Apply through the Government of Kenya's official portal at etakenya.go.ke.
Requirements change. Check the official portal, and confirm with the Kenyan embassy or high commission covering the country of departure.
Invitation letters
Where an application requires a letter of invitation, register first, then email support@kenyachinateasummit.com with the full name as it appears in the passport, passport number, nationality and organisation.
Accommodation
Hotels sit within walking distance of KICC and across Westlands and Upper Hill. The Secretariat publishes summit rates and booking codes as agreements are signed.
Health and money
Check vaccination requirements with a doctor well before travelling. The currency is the Kenyan shilling (KES). Card payment is widely accepted in Nairobi hotels and restaurants, and mobile money is standard.
