Tea attractions in Kenya
Kenya's tea regions sit close enough to Nairobi to visit either side of the summit.

Kericho
Kenya's best-known tea region, about 260km northwest of Nairobi in the Rift Valley highlands. Large estates, tea factories that receive visitors, and the landscape most people picture when they think of Kenyan tea.
Kiambu and Limuru
The closest tea country to Nairobi, under an hour from the city. Estates here run short factory tours and tastings, which suits a half-day visit.
Nandi Hills
High-altitude estates in western Kenya, producing tea with a distinct profile from Kericho's. Fewer visitors and a longer drive.
Nyeri and the Mount Kenya slopes
Smallholder tea country on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya, often combined with a visit to Aberdare or Mount Kenya national parks.
Beyond tea
Nairobi has a national park inside the city boundary. The Maasai Mara, Amboseli and the coast are all reachable on domestic flights.
